Post Six New AMD Coolers: Cold Enough For You?

Since AMD's conversion to a 90 nm fabrication process, its Athlon 64 CPUs have developed into real power misers. Their modest power intake also reduces cooling requirements. To investigate this product area further, Tom's Hardware tested six current coolers for AMD CPUs.

wow..the v8 cooler looks sweet...when i go dual core..i might invest in an aftermarket cooler..just to be safe..

.but in the 15-16 years of computer i have never had a heat prob with any proc....but i dont overclock..the gain isnt worth the risk to me..

I've invested in Zalman's cooler 7000 series just for the sake of quietness. The stock cooler was too loud. My next rig will have water cooling and will be silent
