The Coldblooded machine is a pricey one. But here at the sound card I get frugal. Call it a personal preference but targets love Turtle Beach sound cards. They don't have as much fan fare or the big following like the Creative SB series but they are rock solid sound cards that work well.
Targets are not big on sound cards. They just like hear rockets fired from behind and then whiz by when they are side stepped. that is what makes a happy target.
Like most other items the turtle beach sound card can be found at

I like the TBS-3300-01 Montego. It has the standard 24 bit sampling at 96khz (if you read the video card reviews, you know 24 bits for audio is fantastic). The video cards border on ghz refresh rates but there is no rendering for sound.
I usually have 6-8 PC's running at home using 4-8 different OS's. I have never had a problem with the turtle beach drivers where the Creative drivers have given me problems. They were not problems that could not be overcome but problems that were better avoided.
here are the spec's for the turtle beach sound card. Maybe we can get Erasmus to do a head to head comparison of the sound cards.
