What are your thoughts on game legislation that may potentially ban minors from purchasing video games that are classified as violent or obscene?

im all for it then we'll have less ****talkers on the servers

Ban violent games then they need to ban parents from having kids. Its not the game makers that should have to baby sit the gamers.

Ok. Yes there are some, no alot of video games now days that are very violent. I can understand why parents want violent video games to be banned, they think that since you play mortal combat and Rip someones head off, there kid might want to do that same....In my opinion, That's stupid. I highly doubt that kids that shoot up school wanting to be like Duke nuken. The kids that actually shoot up the school may play those types of games but What tennager dos'nt. The ones that shot up schools are already ****ed up in the head.

Then brings up the question, "Why do the parents purchase the video games for the child" well If the child has some type of illness, and he is damaged socially by it. Like the quiet kids in class that get made fun of for being poor and what not. they might do it, I kind of blame the parents. but not the video games. It's the child who is the real one to blame, He did IT! NOT THE PARENTS, NOT THE VIDEO GAME COMPANIES, but the child. I vote no on banning Violent video games.

Blah I grew up on one of the most violent cartoons ever. Road Runner! Look at me, I'm perfectly normal. *snicker* I knew the difference from right and wrong.

Don't punish the game makers because parents are complete imbeciles and can't teach their children the difference between reality and fantasy. It's amazing how almost everyone now days are so quick to point the finger at everyone else except themselves. My sister died of lung cancer, sue the tobacco company! My dog was hit by a drunk driver, sue the brewers! My ass is too wide, sue McDonald's! My back hand kung fu kick is off, sue Chuck Norris!
