im not sure how many of you read my post titled "gas is going up" but this is somewhat a continuation of it. i said gas could be as much as 4.00 a gallon buy the beginning of summer. and if we have another bad hurricane season or another major terrorist attck , gas could be as high as 6-8 a gallon.

there is a very important meeting taking place today. the meeting is being held in amman, jordan. it is being held by and monitored by King Abdullah of jordan.

the meeting involves the Palestinian and the Iraqi goverments.

as you may know iraq is a mess. and we arent going away there anytime soon. atleast 5-7 more years.

also you may know palestine is a mess. we talked israel into pulling out of most of palestine and letin them elect a government. well israel did and they elected one of the most violent terrist group on the planet to run their government. whoops .
by electing hamas the rest of of the world has cut off all aid to palestine and are effectivly causin the same sort of situation as we have on the ground in iraq.

well enter the good king of Jordan. he is holding the meeting today to see what he and jordan can do to help curb the situation is both places. and i am almost sure that this will involve sorta puttin both places under jordanian rule. maybe even with jordan having control of u.n. coaltion forces in the region. i.e . our militray presense there.

for those of you into the news, geography, politics, ect...keep an eye out for developments .

1) As far as gas supply goes, experts estimate that humans have depleted approximatly half of the earth's supply. (source: National Geographic mag.)

2) Gas prices are fluctuating due to speculators, who are profiting enormously from this. It has nothing to do with supply (from (1))

3) Politicians do not give a **** about the environment, nor global warming. I assume they will leave the problems to our children to deal with. The only thing government can do is impose more taxes on US industry and charge them for their emmisions? Guess where the money goes?! It begins with an 'I'

4) The rainforests are not responsible for generating ~80% of the worlds oxygen due to lack of circulation of air in the area. Algae of the oceans play the largest part in photosynthesis.

5) Polar ice caps melting? O3 of the atmosphere depleting? Ocean level rising? Land erosion? Tsunamis? Yah we're ****ed....
