I know this has been changed now, and your not allowed to spectate, except for your own team. And spectator mode only allows you to have free camera mode and not actually follow other players

So anyways, onto my question. Without being allowed to spectate other players, how are we supposed to spot people using wallhacks and aimbots? Before I'd spectate, and Demo them, now however, I don't see any way to do that. I'm not trying to hard to find a way however, and it may be that I just haven't looked and explored enough. I do know I can spot people hacking when I'm on the other, or even same team sometimes.. but how can I demo someone on the other team if I can't really spectate them unless I join their team.. then it seems like I'm win joining >.>

h8 will be able to spectate anyone...if you have some concerns..mainly of those on your team at the time..which is the only ones uyou can spec...pm a h8 guys and im sure hell take a look at them when he/she can

I would allow spectators to follow anybody.

alot of mods wont let you...you can give health and location of other team to your teamates..i dont think thats fair..i do miss the free float..but havin people have to spec their team keeps them keeps them in to the game more.

other games do this as well...americas army is one..and there are many others

i know in osp u could only spec ur team in the freeze mode, but in spectator mode, u could spec ne one, theres also a cmd to mute specs, so that might be of help here. theres a lot of different spec features in osp i think , u can have coachs, who can are on a certain team, but can only spec, i think i can invite ppl to spec just ur team without bein a coach or nething, just a couple ideas

I know spectating people can be used as a form of telling the other team where players are, but there has to be a way to stop that eh?

I was thinking that you could keep the spectating your own team the same, but allow the spectator mode so that you can spectate anyone. Just make it so they can't whisper other players. I know this still leaves normal chat, but seriously.. you can still give away player location with spectating the way it is now. Its a free camera, so you can see the players if you move around. You may not be able to give away health and armor information, so I can still kinda understand why the no spectating rule has been applied.

Also.. it may not be fair to spectate, but people using AimBots and Wallhacks isn't fair either. I mean seriously? There isn't always a H8 member online to view and kick people.. and even if you do catch someone hacking.. PM a mod.. it doesn't mean that when a H8 member is in game, the person accused of hacking will still be hacking at that time.. so then he would get away clean and just turn it back on once the H8 Mod has left.

I'm not exactly familiar with the Mod you guys use, so I'm not sure what and what you people can't do.. I just think that the way it is now allows Hackers to play without worry.. and the people not hacking to get screwed.

And if Hobo's OSP things work in the freeze mod, then I think those could be great ideas.
