Lag Problem
Does anyone know what it means when your console spams and reiterates infinitely "Delta ParseNumEntities Too Old?" I just don't get it. My ping is fine, 93 - 105, and then BAM! It kicks up so many notches, I just don't know what to do. This is not the first time, its probably the 1,000,000th. And if that's not the problem, its lag in general. I've tried to manipulate different settings, but I yield horiffic results. I guess my computer, and my connection are just not made for quaking.

ok check this 1....i have had a very similar problem to yours....somteimes ( 1 or 2 times per map ) my ping will jump to 999 and my screen freezes ( for 2-3 seconds ) usually resulting in being fragged....very annyoing....Also when this happens....maybe 50% of the time, after the screen freeze, my mouse goes crazy....and the only way to fix it is cntrl + alt + delete.....and reboot the computer........which is terrible as well......ok now...More recently, the past 2 weeks my ping has been between 130-200, which is wayyyyyyy above my normal 50-90 average.....people on the server complaining...was also not fun.....soooo, point is....i did fix it........somehow lol.....ok this is what i did...you can try it too.....get a spyware program and run it....get rid of all spyware ! Second manually go into your windows folder...find the cookies folder and DELETE everything in there....Go to Temporary Internet Files and DELETE everything there....Go to Temp folder and DELETE everything there....after you do all this...Run a THOROUGH SCAN DISK..after the scan, run DEFRAG....Thats the steps i took yesterday afternoon and now, my ping is back to normal ! ! ! No more getting bytched at by h8'rs or others concering my lag....Funniest thing about this was, even though all you guys said i was lagging, on my computer the gameplay was perfectly smooth like i had a 50 ping...wierd huh...well good luck, just tryin to help ya out....hope it works ! and ill frag that azz later.........peaceeeeeeeeeeee outtttttttttttt

Well, thanks for the help guys. I've defragged my computer, changed my settings even more than it already is, and I've rebooted my computer on the occasion, but nothing seems to work. I guess this is why I made my departure a while ago, but now it has slapped me right in the face once more. Here, I make my departure, and this time, for good. I can't handle the lag, the people accusing others of cheating, thrash talking even amongst those higher up the h8 server hierachy, and waste of time it has been trying to play Quake and trying to become a better player, it's worthless. I'm an athlete, so I'll continue to train for Varsity basketball coming up this summer. I'm hitting the weights and the track. I'll never forget you guys, and the numerous amount of fun I had with you all, especially the h8. members, the Angels, Bane, and a few others. It's been great, enjoy life and enjoy video games. I've found something better, and I hope you all do to.
Peace,
Cracka Jack.

Had this error and here how I fixed it. Try to remove all exccess .pk3 files from your baseq3 folder, leave only original ones from q3 (pak0-pak8).
See if this fixes the problem. Then add your .pk3 files back one by one and see which one brings back the problem.
