Wierd Connection Loss

I hope I can explain this. Sometimes I get a "Connection Interrupted" message, and the little phonejack icon appears in the lower right corner. I can't move. Well, sometimes I can turn my head, as it were. I can't chat. But here's the odd thing--I can see everyone else moving, and smoothly moving at that. And I can read their messages. So it's only outgoing signals that are blocked.

Used to, when I had an interruption, both incoming and outgoing signals would be down, and I'd be left in silence until it came back and I was fragged.

I think in my case it may be provider-related; ever since Time Warner bought Adelphia there's been a degrading of service. The weather's poor today too.

This is a problem on my end and there's no way you can help I'm sure, but I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem?

I got Time Warner also. Did your ping ever change? Like mine is higher than it use to be.

Re: Wierd Connection Loss

Usually when you see things moving but you can't move, it is because your computer is doing something from a third party vendor.

Ipod software is one thing that likes to update then requires some action from you. It will give you reminders while you are playing q3 and give you a 999 ping. The message will clear then come back in about 15 minutes. Usually a computer reboot does the trick. But if there is no banner telling you to reboot, it can be confusing.
