i just moved in to a new home

i dont want to keep playing on my lap top

i want to play on my big super duper pc

but my old config i used for my lap top sux on my pc

can someone really good like rage, skif, hot or anyone else send me their config so i can see what works best for my big super duper computer.

i think if i had a couple configs to play with it would be easier then starting over from scratch.

i noticed one thing while playing around with mine... when i have maxpackets set to 100 my ping is 90 - 100 when i lower it to 10 i drop to 78 - 80 but there seems to be a delay. never-the-less it feels like i am running in mud and i am 2 seconds behind. my shots are all off by a little and i am getting pwned more than normal.

hey man.. actually its true wen you have max packets at 100 it is higher..but it runs so much smoother than having it at 20 or 10 and having a lower ping.. the delay should be the same with both settings..as for the cfg.. theres really nothin to my cfg theres alot of defaults.. i just have a natural skill but if u want mine i'll send it anyway. =)

Does the net settings make it choppy or is the gfx? Sometimes its good to redo the cfg once in awhile. Once the file size gets to 16kb q3 will crash cause the cfg is to big. I would suggest start from scratch change only your wep binds and put snaps 40 and maxpackets 100 and go from there. Trial and error to see what gives you best results.

yeah thats pretty much what i want to do i just dont really know what does what and it would help me to see a couple different configs. maybe someone could post a general config on here someplace in the forums that we/ i could go back to and refer to. also an explanation of what each does...
