Hey yall im really trying to start playing on the q4 servers but i cant see to get this Q4Max mod installed. I downloaded it on the website it directs you to and i unzipped it to the Quake4 directory: as in C:/ProgramFiles/Quake4/q4max
in the directory there are the following files:
/modes/
config.spec
gamex86.dll
Quake4Config.cfg
changelog.txt
description.txt
q4max071.pk4
q4max071w.pk4
q4max071l.pk4
then it begins to load, and i see a message saying: you are missing the required pak files to connect to this server, and redirects me back to the webpage.
It's really a great mod. The vertex lighting makes it run great on most systems, and the different modes are fun. They're adding capturestrike to the next version. Try callvote ? in the console to see all the settings you can vote for.
