Mx518 users please reply! How do you have your configured?

So how do i set it up? The instructons are bleak!

Srcolling size, 1line 3line 6line none ect...?

Pointer accel low med high none

Smart move (huh) the smarter the better right??


GAME MODE SETTINGS wtf

Keep mouse acc ?

Keep mouse speed ?

Keep r/l but ass ?

Keep keypress but ass ?


Keep other but keypress ass (double click auto scroll) ?

HUH?


And whats with the select button and select task?



OH last but not least cant i do all of this in the console with;
/sensitivity

umm something like (forget the cmd) /g_mouse_accel and in the GAME SET UP there is Mouse speed....

The only thing I did with my mx518 was set the 3 speeds. You can change the speed with the 2 buttons above and below the mouse wheel. I always use the slowest one when I'm playing quake. I never messed with any of that other stuff. You should be fine just setting your sensitiity in game.

I haven't looked at the stuff you can tweak with since I first bought the mouse, and that was a while ago. I'll go see if I can find the CD that came with it and mess around a bit.

I used to have mouse accel at .075 a while back. I didn't like it...put it back at 0.

Yeh samething with mine but I like to mess with the usb rate and stuff. The top button and the bottom button changes the dpi I would also have to say the slowest 1 is good.

In windows its probably best not to use pointer precison thats like accel for windows but it also effects the game. Or you could use it just have to mess with the settings until u feel comfortable.

Mine is on the 6th notch from the left for motion.

dont mess with too much..youll screw it up..

maybe do 3 lines for scrollin...set the dpi at 800....1600 is almost too sens..

turn off mouse accel in q3 and lower your sens in-game to about 5

then adjust acoordingly with in-game sens..

the above will give you good feel for web surfing

and MS word or w/e

just play with it and set it up for you

seven settings are for him...deputys are for him..and mine are for me....

I set it 1600 and set sens to 9. Becuase when i hit the minus for 400dpi (1) I cant hardly look down or look up. Not enough throw left right up down on that setting. I really have to move the mouse? There is NO WAY on that setting I can look down then up in one motion.

Do i have something set wrong?


i even turned my sens to 20 when i was on (1) 400? What are some of your sensitivity settings?

he means how fast the pointer is set to..

you can do this in windows...or your mouse may have that option in its set-up

it may say Slow|....|....|....|.....|....|....|....|....|Fast

he means 6th | from the left
