TV tuner

Any of you good people have experience in such things?

I'm trying to pickup a PCI card that will help me turn my PC into TV+PVR to watch my cable with HDTV signal. I'm trying to do a research on this, but I'm I gotta admit I'm overwhelmed with the the selection of the products with no obvious winning solution :S

Re: TV tuner

gotta be careful if you want the true hdtv...alot of cards say they provide the hdtv coding but in actuality they only provide upconverting of a reg digital signal...

try this card.pricy at 200...but itll do anything you want..

Thanks for the info! Although ATI HDTV wonder is out of my list because from what I understand it does not support cable signal, only air HDTV transmissions.

This is what I'm looking at right now:

Re: TV tuner

PCI tuners aren't as good as an external tuner.. just be careful.. I picked up an external Diamond Tuner.. I like it cause it does what I need... But search around newegg and see what some people have to say about what you're looking at if possible.. and don't go with dual chips cause I heard that that take away from pic quality also!
