Sound Card.

hey hey
i have a little problem here:
i just put up together an old pc for my little bro out of the parts i had and i was missing a sound card so i bought a new one, put it in, installed the driver, rebooted, but the computer would act like the sound card is not there (while the driver is well installed and it says device is installed and ready to use) and when i click the sound bar, instead of the normal sound windows would give i get the beep out of the PC tower integrated sound dynamic
Can ne1 help me out?

Re: Sound Card.

There should be a wire going from the sound card to the cd rom I think. If it beeps maybe the sound card isnt securely into the slot on the mb.
