Hey guys. Im thinking about building a system for Quake wars.

I would like input and lots of it.

I just bought a thermaltake 850w ps.

I have two 7900 gs (can only use one right now with my current mobo)


Im looking at:

Antec Nine Hundred tower. (what do you ppl think and what is comparable)

Asus P5k mobo? (have no clue on mobos) whats are some comparable choices?
(hehe the striker is bad azz but at $380) Hmmm

cpu? I want intel! They have the new E6750 4MB L2 2.66 GHz 1333 MHz. Im considering it, but I know nothing about the new cpu (duo/quad and gamming. (they are a far stretch from the old 8085/88) Huh Mr MT! lol

So i guess what i really need input on is cpu mobo and a tower.




Oh im not into overclocking so unless its from the factory.

Keep your eyes on the frys adds. Look for combo deals with mobos that are not made by ECS. I recently read an article on memory that is pretty interesting Dailytech article. Try to buy memory as soon as possibe before the formats and prices change.

I think one 7900 will run quake wars easily. I run quake wars on a 7600 with an el cheapo deluxo amd dual core something. I only have a 20" monitor though. Check Fridays Frys adds and see what they have.

can't help you out homie.. i'ma amd fanboy.. and you should sell your cards and buy an 8800gts or gtx.. alot better than those two in sli.. or keep at least one for another system that you plan on using for other games like older ones or ones you don't care what the graphics look like.. my two cents
