Im still in the market for a monitor! Im almost done building my puter. (just waiting on my Ram)

One thing I read is that, usually your monitor stays even if you upgrade your puter so it makes sense to get a good monitor.

Anyone have good expirences with a 24" monitor and gaming?

Does anyone know the best 24" for gaming?

Pros/Cons?

YES, I know just the ticket, When I got rid of the ol ball and chain, I started Hangin at a club called Crazy Horse II. .....Ya know. .......Too upgrade my pooter. not to sure animal i use a 19" samsung 955df crt works fine for me

.... go crt flatscreen tho... i think is better for gaming

I use DELL 2407WFP and it OWNZ! Wide screen gives you ability to put your FOV higher without screwing up the picture too much.

Skif any gosting or lag? Does it stretch games that arent widescreen?

I think the top 24" are; (no specific order) LG, Dell, Samsung, BenQ. Then there is Gateway and HP...

If anyone know of any shootouts with these montiors up against eachother I would like to check it out, so post a link please.

no ghosting. Yeah, it will stretch 4:3 resolutions to 16:10 no matter game or not.

just be sure to refer to skif's old post about widescreen gaming.. I have to use it everytime i install a fresh copy of quake.. q3 in widescreen is amazing... and a high fov really helps your strafing.. it's really good cause i have a 22" and i love q3 on it.. just looks fvckin tight!

I'd go with Samsung - they're making some pretty nice TV's lately and I would think that nice monitors would follow. My 2 cents
